Function overview

NMEA digital signal synthesizer (Model: HC-402) provides 4 serial port data input (NMEA0183 protocol) and synthesized into 2 serial port output (NMEA0183 protocol), each serial port input baud rate can be automatically selected: 2400-115200, the composite output signal baud rate defaults to 38400 (output baud rate can be set to 115200).

This product is suitable for: devices with only 1 serial input, such as: LOWRANCE, RAYMARINE, GARMIN, SIMRAD radar, etc.

 

Instructions for use

1.  The serial input signal must conform to the NMEA0183 protocol format statement,

for example: the heading statement $HDHDT, 123.0, T*2E.

2.   Each serial port input signal synthesis output will maintain the original input format, such as the original format: $HDHDT, 123.0, T*2E; the output is still the same, but the baud rate has been changed to 38400;

E.g.:

1) Input statement format:

The first serial port statement is heading statement

$HEHDM, 282.0, T*3E

The second serial port statement is GPS statement.

2) Output statement format:

The output signal is output simultaneously in two ways, and the output statement is the sum of all the sentences after the synthesis, and the signal format complies with the RS-422 standard and has a baud rate of 38400.

Connection diagram (for reference only)

1. Turn on the power, POWER indicator -----bright

2. When the input signal is connected, the corresponding indicator light ---- flashing

1) Input NMEA1-NMEA4 is the same:

A1 — first way NMEA1 input A

B1 — first way NMEA1 input B

A2 — second way NMEA2 input A

B2 — second way NMEA2 input B

A3 — Third way NMEA3 Input A

B3 — Third way NMEA3 Input B

A4 — Fourth way NMEA4 Input A

B4 — Fourth way NMEA4 Input B

2) Outputs OUT1 and OUT2 are the same:

A — NMEA output A

B — NMEA output B

3) 24+ - power supply is positive

4) 24- - power supply is negative
